Well here we are again, these Wednesdays come around so fast - if you are just happening by and wondering why I am showing a messy desk, please pop over to see Julia at http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/ for more details.
I am totally ashamed of my work space this week but I do have a good excuse - I went to Harrogate Craft Event at the weekend and bought lots of new things; things I 'needed' and things I 'wanted' and of course things I do not need at all, if I am being totally honest (I just can't help myself - lol). A lot of them are still on my desk and awaiting a proper home. The other half of my craft room is tidy (honest) but I did not think that would be very interesting.
I bought stamps from Tim Holtz, IndigoBlu, Inkylicious and Lili of the Valley, inks from Ranger, the new Dylusions Range (wow are they fabulous) but my best purchase of all is a cardboard easel to stand my cards on for photographing - it cost all of £1.75 and I love it (see below on the shelf).
I have only made a couple of cards this week, this one is nearly finished, just needs a sentiment. I put my WOYWW badge at the front of the card (I am just showing off!).
The stamp is Lili of the Valley and I was lucky enough to attend a class by Bev Rochester who is a genius with ProMarkers, Copics and pencils. I will never be as good as her but it will not be for lack of trying!
Thank you for visiting and please do leave me a comment as I love to read them. Hopefully I will get round to your desk too - Happy WOYWW! Regards, Anne x

Much like my desk Anne, it was quite tidy yesterday, but to-day it is really messy. Maybe I should join in with WOWW to make me more aware of how untidy a crafter I am. Have a lovely day. Hugs Rita xxx
ReplyDeleteIf only you had visited me last week - I put in my post where I would be working and you were on Lily of the Valley right opposite. What a shame we did not meet up.
ReplyDeleteMaybe next time?
Lovely card and what a cute picture. I am sure your colouring is wonderful, certainly miles ahead of mine.
Hugs, Neet #4 xx

Your card is so pretty! I love it. New goodies how fabulous. I keep meaning to try some Dylusions Inks, maybe I should order some! Have a fab week and thasnks for visiting my desk xx no.95
ReplyDeleteThere is still room to create so your desk isn't a total loss yet. I just did a mini-convention myself and shopped like crazy. Of course I NEEDED it all. hee hee. One of the vendors wisely gave out a coupon for 15% off their website good for the next 30 days. I will definitely go there once payday rolls around again. I love your soft delicate Lilly of the Valley card! I just ordered some LOTV stamps myself-my first ones ever. I hope they have a quick trip across the pond! Judy #134
ReplyDeleteDon't be ashamed of your space it's to interesting to be anything else but great.
ReplyDeleteLynn
Ps thanks for visiting my place
You have a lovely ooking space - and we all need stash! Glad you understood MY reason for buying Tim's stamps before Ally Pally - that was my thought exactly, lol! thanks for stopping by. Helen, 21
ReplyDeleteLucky you to get to a class with Bev! I watch her video tutorials online, but I do agree - I don't think I will ever be able to color as well as she does. It sounds like the craft event was a a good time!
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW!
Sara S. (#27)
I love Harrogate! Used to go there all the time when I lived in Northallerton. Betty's tea rooms are the best :) You got some great looking stash - you don't have to justify it to us, we understand completely that your collection needed new elements!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, LLJ ~68 xx
i chose not to go to Harrogate - and I regret it - i knew i would as soon as it became too late to go. I did however visit LOTV shop last Monday and spent a fortune. We all find ways to feed our addiction........ XX Happy crafting Sharne #71

p.s not sure if you are aware that you have word verification on,might put some peeps of leaving comments,x
Kay, thank you. I tried to remove it when Julia asked everyone to and thought I had done it - sorry. I think it is off now!
DeleteHi Anne Thank you for popping in to my desk. I have had a few comments about asking my mother-in-law to write on my layout! I will let her know that I can get the cream paint out if there is a mistake so she is a bit more relaxed about it. I like the Harrogate show too but I didn't make it this time. Glad you had some shopping fun! I love you card with the powderpuff fairy. So cute and lovely delicate colours too. Happy WOYWW. Helen ♯35
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely little image there! Lucky you getting some of the Dylusions stuff - I love her style. #77
ReplyDeleteIs word verification off now -just testing!
ReplyDeleteI went to the harrogate show on Saturday too, shame it is getting worse and worse every year.
ReplyDeleteI think my tidy desk is so boring compared to your's Anne...busy makes it look so much more creative ;)
ReplyDeleteThe card is beautiful and I'm going to have to request one of those badges...not sure about the airfare though?
Sounds like the Harrogate show was a hit! :D
Love your desk, Anne - looks industrious and organised!! Nice card too!
ReplyDeleteAh, chaos... You have to create it in order to create order, I find! Not sure if I'll clear that end section of my black shelves by next week, though - I need to clear space from the other sections first, so I can move everything up. At least I've got all my mixed media stuff on one shelf now, instead of all over the place.
It's looking a lot better now than when I photographed it, because all the boxes are now on the landing! Nothing done today because we've been out, and I'm now too tired to do anything.
Happy WOYWW,
Shoshi #14
Hi Anne, It's lovely to have new stash! Hope you get to use it soon. Your card is sweet! You may not become as good as Bev, but you'll develop your own style! Patsy from

Your desk looks ok to me. We crafty peeps need a bit of mess now and then.... or all the time really.

Did you get the little stands from Pinflair? I think I have some, I use one to display my ATCs as well. I do love a good spend up at a craft fair - whether you need it or not. And these days it gives me more pleasure than new shoes LOL (Maybe if I culd still wear high heels it would be a different story but hush puppies don't do it for me...) Thanks for popping by to see me, Cindy #17
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy, no it was just one of those stands that sells all sorts, there is no name on the packaging but they are really strong. I am the same as you with the shoes! Thanks for popping by.
DeleteSounds like a fun trip! Love the little fairy and her green wings! It turned out great. You must be a good student grasshopper! :) Have a great WOYW...even if I am running late! -Amanda 57
ReplyDeleteBeeeyootiful card Anne, I don't think you're far off colouring genius - it's wonderfully done. I love that you bought all that stuff but the best buy was the real bargain of the day! it was ever thus! I spy lovely squirty inks too, you're in for some fun crafting.
ReplyDeletePretty card, and new goodies! Fab, enjoy playing. Thanks for sharing for this weeks WOYWW, it's Thursday now but I'm still snooping my way through the list. Take care Zo xx 22
ReplyDeleteWow! Lovely full workdesk - makes me want to delve in and look at all your products. Your easels really were a bargain. Love the card especially the colours.
ReplyDeleteSuzanne #105
Redanne don't put yourself down your card is beautiful and I'm spotting your badge. Maybe instead of Where's Wally we should have spot the WOYWW badge!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing and enjoy your new purchases.
Hugs Erika.
Thanks for your comment. Your card is adorable and what messy desk, I couldn't see one. BJ

ReplyDeleteThanks for already visiting my desk this week WoYwW #8
I'm a bit late this week - only got to the mid-50s yesterday and doing my best to catch up.
ReplyDeleteI'm green with envy over the Dylusion inks. I really, really need some but have put myself on an ink-free diet for a month and bought some fabric instead LOL

Hello!
ReplyDeleteSo many wonderful things on your workdesk - and I love the easel! I am happy to see that someone else makes purchases she 'needs' - one never knows when a project will require something we may not have! Wishing you some sunshine today!
Hugs,
Barbara Diane
Going to a craft fair sounds like a lot more fun than cleaning up a desk.Thank you for your kind words on my blog.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have a bunch of fun new goodies, whether you needed them or not! HA! I think I always buy things I don't need, cause when I am crafting, there is always something I NEED! lol Oh well..thanks for leaving me a comment on my blog about my seahorse tag I made, I just wanted you to know that I made a tutorial about how I created the sea, if your interested I would love for you to check it out and let me know how I did on the tutorial as I haven't done many of them before. Thanks bunches and waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)http://inthehillsofnorthcarolina.blogspot.com/2012/03/vellum-noun.html
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info about Dylusions, I didnt realize that Ranger carries them. The few scrapbook stores around me have very limited ink selection beyond basic distress, maybe I'll look online. Appreciate the helpful info! Barb
ReplyDeleteHi Ann - definitely a little green with envy that you have so many craft shows over there. *sigh* I'd travel a bit for a good show and sale!
ReplyDeleteLove the dragonfly! Your layering is right up my alley - sweet!
Cheers,
Susan #128-ish
What a beautiful card you have made there. That is worth the mess if you create cards like that!
ReplyDeleteBTW I have a theory - Creativity = Mess!!
Fergus is waving!! He is cute isn't he and very well travelled too! He has his own scrapbook and has even had his photo taken with Mr Tim Holtz no less and Hels Sheridan - oh and Lyn and Leandra of Paperartsy! He has an eye for girls!! LOl!

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and for your kind comments. I do like that pretty pink card. You have some yummy supplies on your desk! Happy WOYWW, RosA#29
ReplyDeleteThat easel looks fab. My cards always look warped in the pictures...I can see this would really help.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind comments about my husband. He is getting a bit stronger each day...He even took a short walk today!
I have been sent downstairs to play on my computer as he is watching the hockey game and thinks I chitter chatter too much while the game is on....hahahaha
I think I am driving him crazy....haha
Your easel looks super handy! I know just what you mean about needing craft supplies...if I see something I love then I NEED it! Which reminds me I went to get something at the store earlier and forgot it because I was totally distracted by Tim Holtz dies...oops. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you have a lot of organizing tools so I bet your desk is pretty easy to clean-up, if you ever like to do that sort of thing, I mean. I like mine messy! ;-)
~Deeyll #168
Cool badge! And I like the card!
ReplyDeleteCUTE card, and umm, no, not a mess, but my perspective is somewhat skewed by MY mess, as you know!

Your desk is not a mess ... it's wonderfully creative! Sorry it has taken me until now to return your visit to my blog ... the "little" project I was working on has taken far longer than anticipated and time slipped away from me. They WILL be finished today.

We probably passed each other, Anne, I was at Harrogate too buying lots of things I just NEEDED!!! All the Indigoblu stamps had gone when I got there but had to have the flitter glue and flakes. Some LOTV also appeared in my bags too, how did that happen!!
