WOYWW Week 146 - What a Mess!

Well here we are again, these Wednesdays come around so fast - if you are just happening by and wondering why I am showing a messy desk, please pop over to see Julia at http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/ for more details.

I am totally ashamed of my work space this week but I do have a good excuse - I went to Harrogate Craft Event at the weekend and bought lots of new things; things I 'needed' and things I 'wanted' and of course things I do not need at all, if I am being totally honest (I just can't help myself - lol).  A lot of them are still on my desk and awaiting a proper home.  The other half of my craft room is tidy (honest) but I did not think that would be very interesting.

I bought stamps from Tim Holtz, IndigoBlu, Inkylicious and Lili of the Valley, inks from Ranger, the new Dylusions Range (wow are they fabulous) but my best purchase of all is a cardboard easel to stand my cards on for photographing - it cost all of £1.75 and I love it (see below on the shelf).

I have only made a couple of cards this week, this one is nearly finished, just needs a sentiment.  I put my WOYWW badge at the front of the card (I am just showing off!).

The stamp is Lili of the Valley and I was lucky enough to attend a class by Bev Rochester who is a genius with ProMarkers, Copics and pencils.  I will never be as good as her but it will not be for lack of trying!

Thank you for visiting and please do leave me a comment as I love to read them.  Hopefully I will get round to your desk too - Happy WOYWW!    Regards, Anne x

  1. Much like my desk Anne, it was quite tidy yesterday, but to-day it is really messy. Maybe I should join in with WOWW to make me more aware of how untidy a crafter I am. Have a lovely day. Hugs Rita xxx

  2. If only you had visited me last week - I put in my post where I would be working and you were on Lily of the Valley right opposite. What a shame we did not meet up.
    Maybe next time?
Lovely card and what a cute picture. I am sure your colouring is wonderful, certainly miles ahead of mine.

  10. There is still room to create so your desk isn't a total loss yet. I just did a mini-convention myself and shopped like crazy. Of course I NEEDED it all. hee hee. One of the vendors wisely gave out a coupon for 15% off their website good for the next 30 days. I will definitely go there once payday rolls around again. I love your soft delicate Lilly of the Valley card! I just ordered some LOTV stamps myself-my first ones ever. I hope they have a quick trip across the pond! Judy #134

  13. Lucky you to get to a class with Bev! I watch her video tutorials online, but I do agree - I don't think I will ever be able to color as well as she does. It sounds like the craft event was a a good time!

  14. I love Harrogate! Used to go there all the time when I lived in Northallerton. Betty's tea rooms are the best :) You got some great looking stash - you don't have to justify it to us, we understand completely that your collection needed new elements!!

  17. Hi Anne Thank you for popping in to my desk. I have had a few comments about asking my mother-in-law to write on my layout! I will let her know that I can get the cream paint out if there is a mistake so she is a bit more relaxed about it. I like the Harrogate show too but I didn't make it this time. Glad you had some shopping fun! I love you card with the powderpuff fairy. So cute and lovely delicate colours too. Happy WOYWW. Helen ♯35

  21. I think my tidy desk is so boring compared to your's Anne...busy makes it look so much more creative ;)
The card is beautiful and I'm going to have to request one of those badges...not sure about the airfare though?
Sounds like the Harrogate show was a hit! :D

  22. Love your desk, Anne - looks industrious and organised!! Nice card too!

Ah, chaos... You have to create it in order to create order, I find! Not sure if I'll clear that end section of my black shelves by next week, though - I need to clear space from the other sections first, so I can move everything up. At least I've got all my mixed media stuff on one shelf now, instead of all over the place.

It's looking a lot better now than when I photographed it, because all the boxes are now on the landing! Nothing done today because we've been out, and I'm now too tired to do anything.

    Happy WOYWW,

  27. Did you get the little stands from Pinflair? I think I have some, I use one to display my ATCs as well. I do love a good spend up at a craft fair - whether you need it or not. And these days it gives me more pleasure than new shoes LOL (Maybe if I culd still wear high heels it would be a different story but hush puppies don't do it for me...) Thanks for popping by to see me, Cindy #17
