Christmas is coming.....

Hello Friends!

Just a quickie post, I have been making some Christmas cards (at last) and a few tags for gifts, using my lovely new Tim Holtz stamps.

I just love this new scribbly reindeer stamp!  I made the tag a couple of weeks ago using a No. 10 black tag blank, stamped with the Damask stamp and embossed in white detail embossing powder.  It creates a wonderful opulent background.
All I needed to do was die cut an ornate frame, add a faux wood background and add my scribbly reindeer.  He looked a bit 'flat, so I gave his antlers a bit of sparkle with Vintage Platinum Distress Glitter Dust - I think he looks quite handsome now!
To finish off I added some vintage ribbon, dyed with Festive Berries and Candied Apple Distress Stain and a word tag, coloured with Festive Berries Distress Crayon.  I love the contrast of the black, white and red....
As you see this I will be on my way to a fun weekend of craft, with some fabulous Designers and getting the chance to meet some wonderful crafty friends.  It is actually snowing here - yikes!

I have belatedly realised that I could add this to the Tags, Bags & Boxes Challenge over at Stamps & Stencils, it is a tag, for a gift and it includes stamping.

Thanks for your visit, hope to see you soon, I will try to catch up on your blogs soon.

Hugs, Anne xx

Happy Halloween !

Hello Friends!

I know Halloween is not to everyone's taste but I have a friend in the USA who loves it almost as much as I do and it was her birthday last week.  I made her a haunted house a while back, which you can see here.  She has received her other little treat now so I can show it here, this is what I made her....a little Halloween album in a box... ahem... coffin box.
I did not take a lot of process photos but I used a Tim Holtz Idea-ology Vignette box - coffin, I kept the treatment of it simple, just brushed across it with Picket Fence Distress Ink.  To line the coffin I used my Tim Holtz Webs and Damask stamp set, stamped onto white card.

The base is a 6 inch circle of wood which I crackled and added an Idea-ology pumpkin and some moss.  The skeleton is from my stash.
To make the accordion card, I used some old G45 papers from my stash and added some of Tim Holtz Frightful Ephemera, Alpha Parts and other bits and pieces from my stash.

I am entering this into Countryview Challenges, All Things Spooky challenge here.

I am happy to report that she loved it!  As always, thanks for looking, I hope
to see you again soon.

Happy Halloween !!  Anne xx
