Twist and Style for Eileen Hull

Hello Friends

Eileen Hull is famous for her beautiful flower dies and she has now introduced a
Twist and Style Tool which will twist wire, cord and lots of other things too.  I made a few things, once I got started I didn't want to stop!

First up, I made some wire flowers and added these to two boxes made with Eileen Hull's Box with Scalloped Edge die.  These boxes make lovely gift card holders.
The tool is very simple to use.
I added the third flower I made to a crackled bottle and I just had to make this cute bird.
To make the bird, I twisted the wire and shaped it with a jewellery tool.
The bird is backed with some Kaisercraft paper from my stash and I topped it with DecoArt Media's Liquid Glass.  The bird was based on a project my team mate Tracy Evans did last
week. Thanks for the inspiration Tracy!
This is the Twist and Style tool, the base has a suction cup which will fix to any hard surface,
once fixed it is incredibly easy to use.
I struggled at first with the wire and then tried using a bow maker to hold the wire in place.
It worked beautifully and held the wire firmly whilst I shaped the petals.
I used some thicker black wire, used the tool to twist it and then coiled this so that it would create a flower centre.
I wanted to 'bulk up' the flowers a bit more and added some plain wire petals.
To secure the centres I used some invisible thread/cord.  I had some of the black left
and I made this into corkscrew shapes to add to my bottle project.
I thought it would be fun to make a little earring holder too.  This was made by twisting four
strands of wire together for each of the holders and using my jewellery tool to create
the holder elements.  The four pieces were held together by a single piece of wire and
this was pushed into the centre of an old thread spool which I painted with some
silver paint.  To finish off I added some pearls.  It actually works too!  This is my
prototype, I am going to make another one, which I hope will look a little more professional!

I had lots of fun using the Twist and Style tool, it is not in the stores yet but will be soon.  It will be available from Sizzix.com.  It makes wonderful stems for flowers.

If you have time to visit Eileen's blog  and also here, you will see some other projects made by
my team mates.
As always, thanks for looking, hope to see you again soon.

Hugs, Anne xx
