Botanicals and Sputniks for AALL & Create

Hello Friends

My Guest designer project this week for AALL & Create is a pair of quick and easy cards
using a left over paint brayered background, along with a beautiful stamp set (Scripted Botanicals #197 by Bipasha BK) and a stencil (Sputnik #79 by Olga Heldwein along with a little decoupaging to create some extra dimension.
This paint and stencilled background is one I had left over from a Gelli plate session, not all that successful but of course, I don't like to throw anything away and I needed two quick cards.  I used the Sputnik stencil and several colours of PaperArtsy paints.
After cutting the background into two I stamped the image, using Versafine Clair ink.
Using some scrap watercolour card I stamped the image again, twice and fussy cut the dragonfly and moth.
Using some watercolour paint I coloured the fussy cut images.
I mounted the images using 3D glue gel and layered up the cards onto white card bases.

You can find a list of worldwide stockists of AALL & Create Stamps, Stencils and Dies HERE.

Thanks so much for your visit, I hope to see you again soon.

Hugs, Anne xxx

  2. Gorgeous use of snippets, Annie! I love the pretty results and the way you brought the insects to life by making them 3D! I will try and remember that when making cards, even if it's just adding one fc or dc image over the top. A simple extra step that adds a terrific punch!! Hugs, Darnell xxoo

  5. Oh my goodness, what a beautiful stamp, and you've shown it off to perfection. I love the background prints with that lovely subtle stencil providing detail and texture - but it's those delightful insects hovering over the vintage script which really steal the show for me.

  6. This is the perfect example to us all not to throw anything away Anne, that stencilled back ground is fab a new stencil to me what intricate details. With the image stamped central and the fussy cut dragonfly and moth don't they sit pretty layered on top. Beautiful cards Anne, you may have just helped spark an idea for a few cards i'm in need of making.
I so love your AALL & Create makes.
Enjoy the rest of your evening & have a restful Sunday, BIG Hugs Tracey xx

  10. The Sputnik stencil gives such a subtle touch of detailing to the backgrounds - I don't know that I would have thought of combining it with nature stamps/images, but it looks great. Lovely gelli prints, and the insects really pop over the top.
