WOYWW - Week 144

My desk is reasonably tidy this week (for me!).  I thought I had better knuckle down and get all the cards I have been asked for, made.  So I did 6 cards, mainly using the new Papermania Portobello Road papers - I am slightly obsessed with the British flag at the moment (which is strange as I am Canadian) but it is probably just a fad.  I also got a new delivery of Studio 490 Art Parts today and some Clearly for Art film so they are still on my desk.  Also my distress markers have never been put away, I use them almost to the exclusion of the distress stains - which is bad, very bad and I must try harder.......  The camera shook at bit here:

This is a bit closer view of the two cards made with Papermania papers, I used book pages instead of the honeycomb paper this time, not sure if I prefer it or not:

I am looking forward to having a good snoop around today.

  2. Love the balloons Ann - very clever. Did you know your link on WOYWW is to last weeks' desk - I did the same and had to re-link and ask Julia to remove the wrong one. Doesn't matter if you don't want to but you may be wondering why you don't have many comments on this post and more on last week's.

  4. Hi! The book balloons is a lovely way of using old papers, helps even more if you make charity cards like I do. Thanks for sharing! Karen 139 x

I love that Bbritish themed paper too. Where did you find it? I haven't seen it at my local scrapbook store.

    1. Sorry not have responded sooner, had a virus. The papers are Papermania - Portobello Road. The balloon stamp is Crafty Individuals and I stamped several times on old dictionary paper, cut out and folded each in half and layered up six balloons to give a relief effect. Glad you liked them!

  8. Loving the hot air balloons - they look great! I was lucky enought to be bought a hot air balloon ride a few years ago as a birthday present, and it was an amazing experience - I'd love to have something like these cards to remember it by (though I did take loads of photos!). Best wishes, Deb Pen Pot

  12. Your hot air balloon cards are fabulous! I'm Canadian too and love the British flag as well. One of the WOYWWers had a little trunk on their desk that was covered in the British flag design and I really want it, lol!
    Thanks for visiting me earlier!

  15. Brilliant cards, and I love all the patriotism I've been seeing this year. I'm not surprised you like the British flag, every time I go into Canada I see British and Canadian flags in equal measure.
