Brush Flower for AALL & Create

Hello Friends

It is time of the week when I share my Guest Designer project for AALL & Create.  This week I used a canvas board, two of Tracy Evans' Latest Release stamps - Brush Flower #234, All Measured Up #235 and Lotza Dotz stencil #39 by Autour de Mwa.
I used a 5" x 7" mixed media canvas board for the base to create my three dimensional project. I started by brayering two colours of acrylic paint over the canvas and then applied a layer of gesso.
I applied some crackle paste through the Lotza Dotz to opposite sides of the canvas.  I stamped the brush flower directly onto the canvas using Black Versafine Clair ink.
To give the flower dimension, I stamped the flower again onto Ranger Clearly For Art, coloured on the back with an alcohol pen and then fussy cut the flower before heating it and molding it into the shape I was happy with.
I attached the molded flower to the canvas with Glossy Accents.  I also added some further stamping here and there using the second stamp in set #234, stamping them in acrylic paint.
Finally, I stamped Tracy's All Measured Up stamp onto some white card and cut a couple of strips, which I then coloured with Distress Ink and added them to the bottom of the canvas.
You can see a full list of worldwide stockists of the stamps and stencil I used HERE, although  AALL & Create do advocate people purchasing their products from local stockists wherever possible.

Thanks so much for your visit, I really appreciate you taking the time and I hope
to see you again soon.

Hugs, Anne xxx

  1. Hi Anne, loving this piece . Love the added dimension on the flower , looks fantastic as does the texture from the canvas and crackle and I love how you incorporated all measured up stamp ❤️❤️❤️

  2. Love your colours Ann, and the finished canvas is beautiful. xx

  3. This is absolutely gorgeous Anne! I love the brayered colours and the crackle looks amazing. This stencil is one of my all time favourites too. Have a very happy week, Sue xx

  4. I so love these stamps and this is a great canvas idea. Gorgeous colours, love it. Sending hugs, Angela xXx

  5. I love this Anne with the clever addition of the flower head moulded into shape. The dot stencil really adds an air of movement as if it gently sways in the wind. Your chosen colour reminds me of the sky this morning although i'm sure the old saying relates to a warning. I'm hoping the promised rain isn't as heavy as it has been recently we've enjoyed a few drier but very crisp days recently.
Hope you are keeping well? Sending the warmest of Hugs Tracey xx

  6. This looks fab. I love the colour, and the stencil is one of my favourites. Great idea to add dimension to the flower too ...... love it! xx

  7. I love this composition! The canvas and crackle through the stencil give such wonderful texture to your base. And the circular graphics behind the flower really work wonderful to draw me in. I love it Anne! xx

  8. What a beauty! The background texture is lovely, as are the colours, and the definition and dimension you gave Tracy's fabulous brush head by stamping on acetate is just wonderful.

  9. This beauty really drew me in when I saw last night! The lines and circles are most eye catching. Amazing design Anne. So clever to have made the flower extra dimensional too. You are such a talented artist Anne! Nicola x

  10. What a lovely color, Annie! I'm glad you took that closeup of this wall art so we could get a better feel for the depth and texture you always bring to your art! It's lovely!! Happy Holiday Hugs, Darnell xxoo

  11. A wonderfully designed canvas in a color that doesn't show up much at Redanne! Great texture and dimension; a fabulous work of art!
