Happy Halloween !

Hello Friends!

I know Halloween is not to everyone's taste but I have a friend in the USA who loves it almost as much as I do and it was her birthday last week.  I made her a haunted house a while back, which you can see here.  She has received her other little treat now so I can show it here, this is what I made her....a little Halloween album in a box... ahem... coffin box.
I did not take a lot of process photos but I used a Tim Holtz Idea-ology Vignette box - coffin, I kept the treatment of it simple, just brushed across it with Picket Fence Distress Ink.  To line the coffin I used my Tim Holtz Webs and Damask stamp set, stamped onto white card.

The base is a 6 inch circle of wood which I crackled and added an Idea-ology pumpkin and some moss.  The skeleton is from my stash.
To make the accordion card, I used some old G45 papers from my stash and added some of Tim Holtz Frightful Ephemera, Alpha Parts and other bits and pieces from my stash.

I am entering this into Countryview Challenges, All Things Spooky challenge here.

I am happy to report that she loved it!  As always, thanks for looking, I hope
to see you again soon.

Happy Halloween !!  Anne xx

  20. Oh how spooky fun Anne! How funny we both made 'coffins'!! What does that say about us??!!! Your crackled base is the perfect spot to rest the coffin - as well as the skeleton (love him!) and how fun are the accordion cards that fit nicely inside! I'm sure your friend will treasure this creation!! Julia xx

  27. This is an amazing Halloween treasure you made for Sandy's birthday! I can only imagine the delight when she opened this! I love this little scene and then the accordion fold that pops out is the icing on the cake (can you tell I'm craving cake?!). I love how you've posed your skellie! Big hugs!

  28. So sorry Anne I was sure I left a comment the other day when I stopped by to view this .
Absolutely fabulous halloween project . Love the coffin and the coffin book is a terrific idea. I'nm guessing it must be a book about 'bones' lol . Of course the setting you have created just brings all the elements together superbly - the skellie looks so comfortable relaxing against the coffin . Love it and sure Sandy will too .
    hugs x
