WOYWW - Week 170

Hello lovely WOYWWers and Bloggers

It's that time again and doesn't it come around quickly!  If you would like to join in an around the world desk hop then look no further than the wonderful Julia at http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk for details on how to take part.....

Mine is short and sweet this week, well not so sweet because I am showing my crafty space in a terrible disorganised mess.  Have you ever put something in a safe place.........and then forgotten where that safe place is.......and got everything out in an attempt to find it?  Well this is the result!  Normally I am reasonably tidy......but not today.......have a look:

Did I find what I was looking for?  No, of course not and this lot is not going away until I find it.  This is the right side of my room, I am standing near my computer, I dare not show the left side of the room......

That's it from me, if you do visit I hope you will leave me a comment, I love to read them and I will always try to return the compliment, even if it takes me a week because I am totally wrapped up in the Paralympics.  Happy WOYWW everyone.  Crafty hugs, Anne x

  1. What a busy busy space Ann. And I can complETEly empathise with your 'loss' I am known as 'the bank of england' around my house, because I keep things so safe no-one sees them again. I found Christmas presents one Easter and Eggs the following Christmas....hmmm hahaha
    Have a great WOYWW :0) x

  2. It's only Tuesday here, but here are my UK friends already on WOYWW! Thank you for sharing your space all messy because we can all relate! I did that very thing last week and finally gave up looking and moved on.

Well, just last night I opened a drawer which holds things that are TOTALLY unrelated to the thing I was looking for and there it was! It's upsetting if we dwell on it, so let's not! In my "day," I would never have put unrelated things together! Geesh!

I know you'll come see me tomorrow, 'til then, enjoy the Paralympics and sleep well!

  5. Hi Anne...you do know that whatever you are looking for is probably sitting there staring you in the face and laughing out loud...go make a cuppa and hey presto the little devil will appear...happy WOYWW hugs kath xxx

  6. your space looks like you had fun! Don't get me started on safe places. I couldn't find my husbands wedding band before we got married. Was not a good time for me trying to find my safe place lol

  7. While you are looking round say one for my hole punch will you I've had three attempts to find it (one when you were at my house) and I still can't find it. I'm gutted as I use it such a lot.
Good luck Anne in your scrambling round.

  8. LOL! I am ALWAYS tidying and then losing stuff. I try to keep it in the same general area to increase the chances that I will be able to locate it, but always spend too much time hunting till my brain can map the new location :)

    Happy WOYWW!

  9. Stop looking for it and it will come out of its hiding place - at least that's what happens to me. Wandered round for 15 minutes yesterday looking for the pencil I had just used. Walked into the bathroom, looked in the mirror and there it was, behind my ear!!!!!

  14. Hi Anne thanks for popping to see me. Have you found it yet!! Now as my Mum used to say 'where did you have it last'......well if we knew that!!!!!!! Your desk still looks great though! I know how frustrating it is to know it is there somewhere! I suggest stop looking and eat chocolate! ;-D Happy WOYWW to you from Helen 22

  15. Morning Anne, Been there too, lots of times. I'm sure you'll find it in the end. Imagine me forgetting it was Wednesday, I think it must have been the sun that did it. Best of Luck looking. Hugs Rita xx 123

  16. That is not untidy Anne, its fine - nice and creative. Losing something is the story of my life, especially at the moment I think of something and a minute later it has gone "Woosh" out of my head and then I sit for ages trying to remember what it was. So what with that and losing things I think I am losing it!
Thanks for sharing, Hugs, Neet 84 xx
    ps eyes perfectly ok

  21. Your space looks like mine normally does and I would be exactly the same as you, turning everything out for what I was looking for and not finding it. Why can't we remember where we out those things in the first place? Why? because we have too much stash probably lol.

  23. ...oh Anne it's just the worst thing we all do it too, putting something in a save place really means you'll never see that again and it does make you so mad too...you have a great space Anne, hope it turns up...thanks for dropping by me, it's chaos in my house, Danielle's cats keep eating my craft things but it's all good the kids themselves in a pickle and lost their dream home, on the day of exchange the people changed their mind and decided to stay put but i'm now on hand for help with the baby so life is good...Melxx :)

You were asking me Anne where I got the pink Burlap... Well please allow me to send you some and I shall put in also where I got it from... I bought a little to much and would love to share some with you as a little thank you for always being so supportive with your lovely comments... my email is on my blog under about me!! 27. Hi Anne! I know exactly what you mean: I fight so hard to keep some sort of control over the mess... I hate that "but I had it a minute ago" feeling, but it rarely seems to work out! It's a great view of your space though... love all that storage everywhere you turn. Thank you so much for your lovely comments over at Words and Pictures - I'm so grateful for your support.

  28. I know exactly what you mean, I do it all the time! The way that I usually find it is because while looking for something else, I find that item, but don't find the new one I am looking for!! Vicious cycle I think!!
    Good Luck!

  32. Oh yes, I lose things all the time and end up pulling out every drawer and every box until I find what I'm looking for. And, yes, my room ends up looking like a harried nest. Often it is a good idea to just leave it, go have a cuppa, and by the time you return the missing object will mysteriously appear, exactly where it should be. Failing that, I had a work colleague who prayed to St Anthony ... that seemed to work too :) Happy WOYWW, hope you have a lovely week. Elizabeth x #90

  33. Hi Anne, I have no idea why I wasn't following you, but I have rectified that problem immediately! lol Anne my immediate though was, what a nice inviting craft room, I like the colours and the storage and your little bits of inspiration all round the room. Then you said it was like a bomb had hit it because you were looking for something. It does actually look like your just really busy...I'd go with that! lol Michelle x

  35. Hiya Anne, thanks for your comment yesterday, sorry I'm a bit late replying but haven't been well with a sore throat - and it's still sore!

Your desk (what we can see of it) looks pretty good to me, depends on how much space one has I suppose whether or not it's 'tidy'..yours is fine.

  36. Hi Anne, Your desk/workspace doesn't look too bad to me. I've been guilty of having to go out and buy something which I can't find, even though I knew I had it. (Watch your mail, maybe this time next week.) Am also enjoying the Paralympics. Glad you like my (new) ski beanie. It is very snug fitting and I can stuff it in a pocket when not needed!

  38. oh poor you, that is frustrating, and the worse thing is its generally hidden among the things you thought you had checked properly the first time round, can you tell I've been there? lol hope you find it,

  39. Love your mess - at least we get to have a good snoop at all things on the desk! I just recently had a big "search" for some stamps I have "lost" - still haven't found them although I only have stamps in certain places - I don't know there must be someone messing with my mind ha, ha.....
    Lots of hugs,

  42. It’ll be right there under your nose Anne, in a place where you’ve already looked three times before, it always is………and I speak from experience, Lol. The only good thing is that by pulling everything out you usually come across things you’ve forgotten you had.

    Happy Crafting!

  44. HAH! The 1st thing I thought is: How do you find, what you're looking for with all this drawers! You don't - phew - because I normally don't either - I stored away and don't have any glimpse where I put it! My son hates me for that, because I do it with his ipod, if he overdoing it - and honestly I don't find it anymore! We had lots of debates about that believe me! I'm glad I'm not the only one!

  46. Thanks for stopping by my desk earlier this week. I'm a little late with my desk hopping! to say you are looking for something, this really isn't a mess at all, my crafty space is an absolute tip at the moment and really needs a good sort out! Hope you find what you are looking for. April x
