Hello Friends
I hope you are all keeping safe and well in these difficult times. After our third week in lock down we are getting quite used to it now and have established a simple routine, which helps!
My Guest Designer project for AALL & Create this week uses Tracy's beautiful Happiness & Nature stamp set (#281) along with a left over piece of brayered card, to create a card.
I loved the background colours and decided not to cover it up too much. I had some die cuts left over too from a couple of Bipasha's dies - Code #12 and Cells #14.
I stamped Tracy's flowers onto watercolour card.
I watercoloured four flowers in the end, using two different colour combos.
I trimmed the brayered cardstock and mounted it onto a red mat and then stamped the flowers onto the base. I prepared the die cuts that I wanted to use and in the end I went for the lighter of the two sets of flowers.
Before adding the die cuts I felt I wanted a little more texture so I stamped Tracy's Mesh stamp (#262) here and there using Red Carnation Archival ink, and also some Distress Oxide (Spiced Marmalade).
Here is the finished card again, with the die cuts added. I finished off by adding a sentiment from the Happiness & Nature stamp set.
You can find a list of worldwide stockists for all of the stamps and dies I used HERE.
Thanks so much for your visit, it is much appreciated.
Stay safe and well. Hugs, Anne xxx
What a magnificent splash of colour Anne. Not used this stamp yet. I went on a big spend on Tracy’s Dies and Stencils. My staying at home present. Love, Love your card. Stay Safe. Xxxx
ReplyDeleteI am loving how you coloured those flowers Anne. Wonderful colour palette, really draws you in and that little touch of die cut is perfect. Thanks so much 😘😘
ReplyDeleteSuch a simple design Anne but very dynamic, i'm trying hard not to convince myself I need those dies in my life but when it elevates a design so well I think I am losing the battle. Another set of Tracy's stamps not in my collection, looking with one eye, hands tied behind my back yet again.
ReplyDeleteHoping to share a creation this Friday that i've really enjoyed creating using Tracy's stamps, isn't it all just so lovely... sigh.
I'm glad to read you have both got some form of routine in place now, a difficult thing for us all but even harder when family and friends are so far away from us all. Take good care of each other Anne, stay safe & importantly carry on that crafting. Makes my online days even brighter.
Wishing you a very Happy Easter if I don't get chance to wish it before
Hugs Tracey xx
Wow, fantastic colour, I love it. And you have used my favourite stamp! Fabulous. Axxx
ReplyDeleteLove the simplicity of this Anne. What a great leftover piece for the background, the colours are amazing and the added die cuts look fab.
ReplyDeleteRoutine is definitely the key these days, I just wish my crafty mojo would come back. Happy Easter Anne xx
Great card with lovely warm colours. I was just thinking what great weather it is for inking loads of backgrounds and leaving out in the sun to dry. I think routine is a good way to get through the days as there is always something to look forward to. Elaine xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card Anne! These colours are wonderful and so rich, and the die cuts are so unusual. We've kind of got into a routine too, but some days I really can't be bothered with anything. Take care and stay safe, Sue xx
ReplyDeleteLovely card Anne. I think those little dies really add something. Enjoying the colours too. Sending you hugs ♥️

Love the simple design with the sunshine-y colors accented with crisp white die cuts (those are so cool!).
ReplyDeleteLOVE that die cut! Fabulous warm tones too. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteHello Anne! Sorry I haven't been around of late but, you know how it goes sometimes. This card is stunning! I love the bright vibrant colour and the lighter coloured flowers are just perfect for that background. I love the unusual die cuts too .. so cute!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comments on my blog. I really appreciate your visits, especially when I haven't done much lately. Hope you and your family stay safe and well. hugs xx
The colours on this one are stunning. I love the flower anyway and the starkness of the page turns all the focus onto that, which is so beautifully coloured. Gorgeous.
