I would like to say a huge thank you, again, to Tim for choosing me as a winner last month, I was so thrilled to win again!
A quick post from me today. This month was not an easy one for me, I do like alcohol inks, I just don't think they like me very much but I have done my very best and for my first tag followed Tim's instructions to the letter, albeit with different colours and stencils. You can see Tim's Tag HERE.
I only have the Nature Walk set of stamps which has the small face on it so I used a No. 5 tag instead of my usual No. 8 and then mounted it onto some black card and then onto a black No. 8 tag. I love the way the boldness of the black background makes the face and butterflies stand out...
For the second tag (for my friend Ali, she seems to like it!) I changed the stencils and the background colours but otherwise followed Tim's instructions. Again I used a No. 5 tag and then mounted this onto a larger grey board tag which I painted black.
Thanks for looking, hope to see you again soon! Hugs, Anne xx
Great tag! Love all the colorful butterflies!

ReplyDeleteHi Anne! Congratulations on your win, how amazing! I'm not surprised in slightest though! :)
ReplyDeleteBoth tags are amazing, love the colourful butterflies, so pretty! I don't have any alcohol inks , just never desired them, considered buying them...now a bit worried... you're not the first person saying this.. I don't think they like Donna either... You both make some wonderful things with them so i'm not sure what you both mean.. I shall remain confused until I buy some, I guess :)

ReplyDeleteAnne, both of your tags turned out beautifully and how nice of you to make a second for your friend! I love those little butterflies! Oh and I love alcohol inks and this was a battle for me and I actually ended up using clear embossing ink. My own little technique I suppose! Enjoy the weekend! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHave to admit I love colour but the first black and white one really appeals to me - very striking!!
ReplyDeleteSorry, I'm just seeing this, Annie. I think they look marvelous, so I think you are being to hard on the alcohol inks! I love them both!! I wish I had butterflies like that coming out of the top of my head!! Have a great weekend!! Hugs, Darnell xxoo
ReplyDeleteSnap Annie - I made two tags too! I think the smaller tag works really well and draws your attention to the lovely details of your tags.
ReplyDeleteI'm catching a few moments to comment amidst all the kitchen stuff...love both tags, I'm the same, don't get on with alcohol inks at all...beautiful details! Hugs Carole Z xx
ReplyDeleteI love both of your tags Anne but the first one is my favorite though both are very striking against the black. I too am having trouble with the A I or should I say the blending
ReplyDeletesolution? I followed Tims tut to the letter too but there is no sign of ghosting after I apply the A I . I tried lots of times all with the same result !!! So I will probably just go with the pattern I like best .Hope you have a great weekend. Hugs Lottie x
Two fantastic "tags" I love the effects you have got on these.
ReplyDeleteI really admire people who can create such beautiful work using Tim's goodies.
Mine ........ I am afraid are a bit of a MESS!! I do keep trying, someday maybe someday.
I did manage something quite good using distress inks + when I was at The Papeterie yesterday.
Have a wonderful weekend

ReplyDeleteBoth of your Sept Tim Tags are wonderful, Anne!! I don't think the alcohol ink technique liked me very much, either :) LOL! Fabulous butterflies on both tags and so striking mounted on the larger black tag background--that really makes those alcohol ink panels pop! Good Luck at Tim's!! XOXO-Shari T.

Hi Anne, I think you either love alcohol inks or you hate them, it's one of those products where there seems to be no middle ground.
ReplyDeleteHowever, the tags look good to me Anne so would never have guessed that you weren't keen on them.

ReplyDeleteBoth your tags are beautiful & I really like all those butterflies. I too struggle with alcohol inks - they're a bit out of my comfort zone, but I do go back to them now & again if I come across a new technique for using them.
Back again soon

Congratulations on winning, Anne! You deserve to with your beautiful tags. These two are perfect, especially with the black border whch really emphasises the colour. The face image is beautiful and so right for this tag, and I do love the two different colour schemes you've chosen. Beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteShoshi
They're both fab, but I must admit I lean to the ethereal blues of the first one. Wonderful effect with the butterflies.
