WOYWW - Week 199

Hello Blog Friends

Is it really that time of the week again?  The time when we have a snoop at other friend's blogs?  It is - courtesy of our lovely hostess Julia at Stamping Ground.  If you want to join in then please hop over to Julia's blog where she will explain all.

Quick post from me, nothing much to show except a very messy desk, half finished projects, some new purchases from the NEC Craft show at the weekend (I won some tickets so it would have been rude not to go...... I went with my lovely friend Mo, a fellow WOYWWer and we had a fantastic time).

From left to right, some Wendy Vecchi masks that Mo bought for me, some Inktense Pencils (these are my new love...), some more of the Tim Holtz Distress Paints and Stains that I don't have,  a fabulous Indigo Blu heart shaped poppy stamp, some ribbon, new Alice In Wonderland and Graphic 45 papers.  At the back is a blank pencil holder from MDF man and that's about it.

At the NEC show I finally got to meet one of my blog heroes, Kath, another Woywwer, who was running workshops for Fiskars.  I did get my photo taken with Kath but I promised her that I would not show it on my blog........

Some of you asked to see the completed canvases from my little class with Lynn of Doodly Birds and friends and here they are:

So that's me for this week.  I look forward to visiting lots of desks, have a happy WOYWW everyone.  Hugs, Anne x

  6. The canvases are beauties, would look good all lined up together on a wall. You must have restrained your shopping very well, but is there another stash under the desk you are not confessing to? My sister used to do that with clothes (not under the desk though) and bring them out a few weeks later with a 'what this old thing, I've had it ages'. Never worked though.

  8. Surely it's against nature to visit a craft show and spend nothing? I love the canvases.

And thank you for your warm WOYWW welcome to me. I look forward to much more "snooping" in the coming weeks...

Fabulous new stash too - Inktense are my favs at present, also want to try them out on fabric, tried on silk but most of colour washed out, maybe I should have built up layers slowly instead....or maybe they're not intended for fabric that might need washing LOL. Thanks for stopping by earlier and answering my butterfly dilemma question..Have a great day and lovely weekend... Gill x #75

  33. Hi Anne - I love looking (insert 'snooping'), round your desk. There's always something to go OOh or Aah, over. This week it's the Inktense pencils. Why? Because mine arrived today, along with an Aquash brush. I've been thinking about them for a while after watching some youtube, but also in preparation for the 21 Secrets Art Journaling Workshop (http://www.dirtyfootprints-studio.com/2012/12/look-who-will-be-at-21-secrets-2013.html) that starts on Monday. I'm very excited about learning some more new things. Happy WOYWW :0) Mo x

I love all your artsy supplies.
I wish I was more confident using them.
I think I need to just start an art journal and play one of these days

  39. Hi Anne, Looks like you got some lovely goodies to play with at the NEC. My son bought me the full wooden box set of Inktense pencils, they are great to use. As a small child I used to feel hugely excited if I received a new paint box (everyone used to think it was funny) but I can honestly say I am just the same now over my pencils and paints and even my box's of embroidery threads lol.
    Happy Art Making
