Hello Friends
I hope you are all staying safe and well.
My Guest designer project for AALL & Create this week is a card.
I started by creating the background, using the gorgeous Abundance stencil #85 by Olga Heldwein and PaperArtsy paints on my 5" x 7" Gelli plate layering up several times to achieve the background I wanted.
Next, I stamped the gorgeous flower (twice) from Tracy Evans' The Great Outdoors stamp set #370. I love this flower, it reminds me of a waterlily. I coloured the flowers with watercolours (Art by Marlene) and fussy cut the flowers before decoupaging them.
This is gorgeously classy Anne, I adore your vase for the flower. Beautifully placed together on a gorgeous background ❤️❤️
ReplyDeleteI love that flower too reminds me of a waterlily also and i've been working with it recently just love it. The zesty background has almost a 3D effect, love how you picked out part of the stencil to decorate the vase, quite oriental. Another beautiful piece Anne again Thank you for sharing.

P.S Sorry if my words are muddled, not sure if it's me or my keyboard :/

Wow what a STUNNING card! I just LOVE it! I've been scrolling around in your blog - OMG it's awesome! You're talent is brilliant!!
ReplyDeleteI found the follow button :)
I always talk about your attention to detail, Annie, and this time my eyes were delighted by the way you used a shard of Washi tape to ground your beautiful glossy vase! The colors and stencil of the gelli background are so stunning and work beautifully with the gorgeous decoupaged flower! A magnificent card!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are keeping well! Sorry for the late visit. We had reservations from months ago to go camping at the beach last week and I was looking so forward to a change of scenery since March! But when we got there, the smoke and ash was so thick you couldn't see the ocean from the beach so we had to head back home ... where it has been even worse. It's hard to concentrate! We have a "go bag" packed, Justin Case, but hopefully we won't need it. Not sure where we would go with fires on all three sides of us. We need a boat!! Stay safe! Love, Darnell xxoo
What a great intricate stencil and oh those colors...so striking!
ReplyDeleteAn amazing background - so pretty - and the flower looks so cool in its black vase.
