Hello Friends
I hope you are still staying safe and well. We are still in lock down here, just watching the world going by from a distance.
My Guest designer project this week for AALL & Create is a mini album using Tracy Evans' wonderful newly released stamp set - Honeybee #330.
I absolutely love the stamp set and can think of lots of way I want to use it. I also used the Cells die by Bipasha BK #14 as the cells were a good match with Tracy's stamp set.
I started by cutting one of Eileen Hull's Notebooks (Sizzix 663635) from matboard and covered the outside with Tim Holtz Distress paint in Fossilized Amber. I used some Tim Holtz Tissue Wrap and stamped the honeycomb randomly over the tissue.
I attached the stamped Tissue Wrap to the Notebook with Matt Medium.
I stamped, coloured and fussy cut the bee hive and the bee.
I attached the beehive to the cover, adding some tiny bee charms and some wire for extra detail. The numbers, top right are from Bipasha's Cells die (I didn't want to waste them!).
I created two signatures for the inside, by painting more card in Fossilized Amber, stamping the honeycomb in black and adding the die cut Cells, the lovely stamped bee and the beehive. I coated the bee with Glossy Accents.
I also stamped the bee onto shrink plastic, coloured it and attached the shrunken bee to the bottom right side of one signature.
To finish off I added some bee charms to a Tim Holtz binder clip to add to the side of the mini album.
You can find a list of worldwide stockists for the stamps and die that I used HERE.
Here is a final look, I am really pleased with the result.
Thanks so much for your visit, I hope to see you again soon.
Keep safe and well. Hugs, Anne xxx
Absolutely gorgeous, the honey tones are perfect for this set and I adore the pops of black and white . Love that you cut the little details out too. Love these Anne. Thank you 😘😘
ReplyDeleteJust perfect Anne, your Honey Bee notebook embraces all things “Bee” from the honey coloured cover to the sweet beehive image, and awesome bumble bee also love the honeycomb numbers die cut. A great make that showcases Tracy’s stamps to perfection. Hugs Lottie xx
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely delightful 10/10 👌❤️
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely stunning Anne! The colours are perfect, and although I've not seen these stamps before they are straight onto my favourites list. Take care and have a very happy week (stay safe in lockdown) Sue xx
ReplyDeleteGreat project Anne - I love your choice of honey colour to go with the theme and that shrink plastic bee is brilliant. A great notebook for any naturalist or beekeeper. Glad to hear you are still well and still creating. Elaine xx
ReplyDeleteYay! Its good to be stopping by again to leave some love for your fabulous bee themed mini album, Anne. Both the album and the signatures are absolutely gorgeous. A wonderful way to showcase so many of the products and offer creative inspiration to us all.
ReplyDeleteSincere apologies for being gone so long. I hope to do a bit of catching up (if time allows)and have all good intentions of being a 'regular' visitor again.
Sending hugs

Hi Anne, Fantastic project, one of my favourite stamp sets. Love the idea of a journal. Great idea to stamp on Tissue too. Love the project and the colour is so honeybee! Love Andrea xx
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely notebook, gorgeous colours and so cool that the die contrasts so well. Such a cool idea to stamp on tissue, I should do that more. The large bee looks fab but I have a phobia about bees. I like seeing them on flowers but if they come near me I get in a complete stress, especially bumble bees. Irrational I know but have always been the same. Stay safe my friend. We are still staying firmly indoors and away from everyone too! Hugs xxxxxx
ReplyDeleteOoohh!! I love this Anne. What a delightful little notebook. Love the vibrant colour especially with the black contrast. The stamps are gorgeous and, as always, you have used them to perfection. Absolutely Bee-eautiful!! He! He! Couldn't resist that. Really love this though. hugs xx
ReplyDeleteThere's a scrumptious golden honey glow to this notebook - and the hive looks delightful against the background. Love the tiny bees too.

I thought I'd been by and left a comment days ago, Annie! I guess I must have been distracted by, I don't know, my own breath? It doesn't take much any more to get me squirreled, lol! You've made another stunning album and the color is the very essence of honey amber! Just glorious and, as usual, the details and the texture are incredible! Mwah! Bravo to you both for staying the course; keep it up, please! Hugs, Darnell xxoo
ReplyDeleteI really love these stamps that little Bee hive is gorgeous and the bee is a nice one too. Your little metal bees are a great finishing touch. Hugs, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteSo darn cute....love the tin and the image is so fun too.
ReplyDeleteI just knew there would be another one hiding if I looked deep enough, what a fab little album, and shrink plastic too. Loving that toasty yellow colour, so warm and summery. A fabulous showcase of that stamp set and I was convinced I didn't need anymore Bee stamps in my life sigh.. BEE-utiful :)) Hugs Tracey xx
