Journal Page for AALL & Create

Hello Friends

My Guest designer project for this week is something a bit different from me, a journal page.  I don't really do much journalling, as a rule, so I thought I would chance my hand at it, using a new released
stamp set #199 by Tracy Evans for AALL & Create.
My journal is a standard size with 8.1/4" x 5.1/4" sized pages.  I didn't want to work directly in the journal so I cut some mixed media paper to fit.
I used watercolour paints to create my backgrounds and added some splatters.
Adding some stencilling with with AALL & Create stencil #59 by Autour de Mwa and some further stamping using AALL stamp #210 by Tracy Evans created some extra texture.

Next, I stamped the flowers across the page and coloured them with  watercolour paints.
I stamped, painted and fussy cut some extra leaves and added them, followed with the sentiment
from stamp set #199.  Finally, I added the pages to my journal and doodled around the edges.
You can find worldwide stockists for all of the AALL & Create products I used HERE.

Thanks so much for your visit, I hope to see you again soon.

Hugs, Anne xx

  3. It's exciting to see you working in your art journal, Anne! Isn't it so freeing? Your pages turned out beautifully! I love the watery background to show off those gorgeous flowers; love the colors! Your doodling adds such a whimsical touch! I'm off to West Va. for our annual vacation in Capon Springs; no phones, no TV no Internet, just a lot of hiking, eating and having fun catching up with our Capon friends from all over the country. It's like an annual family reunion with friends. I hope you have a wonderful week! Hugs! PS I hope this reads properly--Blogger was having fun juggling my words around as I was typing.

  7. Good to see you have taken that step to create in your journal Anne, now you need to be a little braver and work directly on those pages then your creativity really will have run free. Stunning watercolour backdrop for Tracy's beautiful flowers, what a glorious double page spread all balanced with words we should all live by day by day. I hope now you will treat us to more and more pages of playday journaling..?
Wishing you a wonderful weekend, ours is going to be a busy one so glad I dropped by before it begins.
    Big Hugs Tracey xx

  8. I love this journey into journalling - you've created a fresh spring day on a page. And clever to work on the pages outside of an actual book... if you end up not liking them, you don't have to stick them in!!

  12. Wow, Anne - these are beautiful!! I'm not sure how I missed them first time round, but glad I caught up! LOVE your backgrounds.... and those flowers could be in my meadow! Wonderful colors throughout. Like you, I do not journal much, but smart to keep these as distinct, separate pages. Then you have freedom to place them or not, or turn them into something else.... great idea! xxx Lynn
