Hello Everyone
This week I have created a couple of fairly clean and simple cards for
AALL & Create using the Bouquet Border (#162) stamp by Fiona Paltridge.
For this first card I brayered two colours of Dina Wakley Media Heavy Body Acrylic Paint (Turquoise and Lime) onto white card. Whilst the paint was still wet I overlaid AALL Stencil #54 by Olga Heldwein and rubbed gently with a damp cloth to remove some of the paint. After stamping the bouquet I coloured it with Inktense pencils. I stamped and coloured a second set of flowers, fussy cut them and overlaid these before covering them with Glossy Accents.
For the second card I followed the same process but used Distress Ink (Broken China) instead of paint. Again I overlaid the stencil and wiped over with a damp cloth. I coloured the flowers with Inktense Pencils, this time leaving them as a single layer.
I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set on each card and finally, I mounted the images onto white card bases.
You can purchase the stamps and stencils I used from AALL & Create here, where you will also find a list of worldwide stockists.
Thanks so much for your visit, I hope to see you again soon.
Hugs, Anne xx

ReplyDeleteI saw these on FB and immediately fell in love with the stunning and striking colour ways and the gorgeous bouquet image. I adore the simplicity and cas style you created. Hope you’re not getting battered by the winds, they have been very rough down here. Have a great weekend xxx
ReplyDeleteReally striking and CASlicious cards, Annie, in gorgeous blues and greens! I love the extra touches of removing some ink from the background and of glossifying the beautiful flowers!! Hugs, Darnell xxoo
ReplyDeleteI love this duo Anne you've found a magic formula again where i'm sure you could go on and on creating these in a variety of colour. The inktense is so vibrant and the addition of the glossy accents gives those roses great dimension. There really is beauty in simplicity.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a super weekend Hugs Tracey xx
P.S Sorry i'm late was at the NEC yesterday and by the time I got home cooked, washed up etc the Zzzzz's got me before i'd chance to make any online visits xx
Hi Anne just popped back to say I did see Tracy but didn't get chance to speak to her as she was so busy with demo's and playing with shaving foam. She's told me to give her a nudge next time hee hee!!

I am so digging that stamp...gorgeous! Both of these are so striking with the bright colored backgrounds and stenciling. LOVE!
ReplyDeleteJust popping by for my weekly visit. Two gorgeous cards, both colour ways work really well and I just love that long (DL?) format! By the way, congrats on your return to Eileen's team, I was surprised to see that, but you always rock her dies, so no surprises there... :o)
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday and have a good week! xxx
Good Morning Anne. Love your cards and I always feel inspired after visiting your blog. The colours go so well together and the back grounds are beautiful. Have a Good Week. Hugs Rita xxx
ReplyDeleteThat's a really charming stamp - and I love that it requires the cards to work in landscape for a change. (I'm so used to upright tags that this looks delightfully unusual to me!) Love them in all the colour variations.
