Book Club New Release - Eileen Hull

Hello Friends

A while back I shared some sneak peeks of Eileen Hull's latest release in her Book Club range.  The new release has some amazing dies ranging from Bookmarks right up to ScoreBoard XL dies, including the Card Box, Planner Storage & Organiser.  The dies in the new range are intended to be used in several ways, which a great thing for us crafters - we all love to get value for our money!!

I am sharing the Sizzix ScoreBoard XL die (662361) - Card Box, Planner Storage & Organiser and also the Passport die, also a Sizzix Bigz XL die (  )
I know I shouldn't have favourites but this is one them from the new release, it is a lovely compact size and holds the Passport Journal beautifully.  Of course you can us the box to store your handmade cards, photographs, die cuts, whatever you like - I can imagine a whole row of these......
The die cuts in one piece as you can see above.  I brayered the whole piece using a blend of white paint coloured with Eileen Hull's ColourBox Blend ink to give a soft pink colour.  Once dry I brayered DecoArt Titan Buff over the top of the pink.

I painted some plain white cardstock in the same colour combo as the holder.  I used this to cut the Passport pieces.
To add some detail I stencilled onto both sides of the holder as shown above.

To decorate the Passport journal, inside and out, I used some beautiful papers and journal cards gifted to me by a wonderful crafty friend - they are so beautiful!
I added three signatures to the journal, each with two pages and I added some small envelopes to the front and back covers.
Here is a view of the journal inside the holder, but of course the holder has many other uses, the sky is the limit with this die!

All this month my very talented team-mates are sharing their samples too and you can see these on Eileen's blog HERE.

Thanks so much for your visit, I hope to see you again soon!

Hugs, Anne xx

  20. Anne, I can see why this is a favorite! I can see so many uses for this die, and you have demonstrated how simply (or not) this storage box can come together. I love your soft muted pink tones on this pair, and the papers your were gifted are so lovely! The perfect finishing tou0ch on the box is that tag! Loving all the embellishments on the album000000 (There's a little extra work at the keyboard from Roger the cat for you!), but the bow is the icing on the cake! Love this set! Beautifully done! Hugs!

  30. Beautiful! CAn you tell me the size of the completed box please? I'm wondering what size cards would fit in it. Thank you very much. Sorry - I had to delete my comment because I forgot to check the Notify Me box. :0)

    1. Karen, the inside of the box measures approx. 5" in length and approx. 1" deep, the Manufacturers sizes can be found at /www.sizzix.com/662361/sizzix-scoreboards-xl-die-card-box-planner-storage-organizer I used thick matboard to construct mine and it easily holds a completed passport album which measures 5" x 4" x 1". It would easily hold cards of 4" x 6" just as an example. I hope that helps! Anne xx

    2. Oh, thank you so much. I really appreciate it. Sizzix could do a better job of putting the measurements of completed projects on their site. :0)

    3. Hmmm, I just better make sure... would it hold A2 cards? It looks like you have the Passport album on its side, which is 4 inches, and you think 4x6 cards would be all right. A2 cards are 4 1/4. I'm guessing they are a little too big? Thank you again, Karen

    4. Hi Karen, the Passport album is 5 inches tall and I have put it in sideways in the picture above so 4.1/4 cards would fit in fine. I wish I had the die here (we get die cuts to work with at first and all projects go back to Eileen Hull so I can't check actual sizes. I will be getting the die soon though and I can let you know then but I am fairly confident that you can fit A2 in the box. If you look in my sidebar you will see my email address. I can cut a couple when I get my die and send them to you so that you can check properly. Let me know if that helps. Anne xx
