Shabby Garden at Anything But Cute

Hello friends!

It is time for a new challenge at Anything But Cute and the amazing Lisa has chosen
Shabby Garden as her theme and she has provided a gorgeous mood board for inspiration!
I was inspired by every section of Lisa's stunning mood board and after a bit of advice
from two crafty superstars, Jenny and Darnell, I managed to finish off my card so that
I actually liked it - thank you ladies!

This is Lisa's gorgeous mood board, who could fail to be inspired by this beauty!
I started with some beautiful Maja Design paper and added some Deco Art modelling paste
through a Tim Holtz stencil.
A piece of recycled cardboard was coated with crackle paint.  The chippie window was backed with
Maja Design paper, a fancy trim was added to the top and the whole piece was coated in
Titan Buff Media Fluid paint, followed by a coat of Weathered Wood Crackle Medium and
then given a final coat of Titanium White Media Fluid paint.
The tiny birds (and the bird house) were gifts from my lovely friend Nicola, aren't they
just adorable?
A close up of the lovely birdhouse.  I added a piece of chain, coated with gesso, to 'hold up'
the little birdhouse.
Finally, I added some lace and ribbon across the card and made this corner decoration from
bits and pieces I had in my stash.

So, if you would like to join in with us at Anything But Cute, check out the details on the
challenge blog here.  You can also see some fabulous creations from my uber talented teamies.

As always, thanks so much for your visit, I hope to see you again soon!

Hugs, Anne xx

Love that crackled corrugate the window (two great minds!), the birdies (more great minds!) and the birdhouse (I woulda had one too, except I didn't have a single tiny birdhouse in my stash)!
