Hello Crafty Friends
I am a bit late with my tag this month, but better late than never I guess! You can
see Tim's original tag HERE.
Despite having the set of stamps that Tim used, I wanted to use my new Sideshow set but unfortunately it all went wrong at the splatter stage so I went for Plan B and used the
Lady Rose set after all....
I really enjoy these Technique Remixes, so much so, that I got lost in the process
and I forgot to get any more step by steps.
This is the one that went wrong. Tip - if you have not used a metallic spray for a while, test it first otherwise you will get large 'blobs' everywhere - lol.
Have you signed up for Creative Chemistry 103 yet? Full details on Tim's blog

I hope you are all enjoying the weekend, here in the UK it is a long weekend and
so far the weather has been kind to us!
Thanks so much for looking, I hope to see you again soon!
Hugs, Anne xx
What a perfect take on Tim's tag, Anne!! Wow!! It looks amazing!! I love the colors and the stamps you used!! I think the other tag is gorgeous, too!! The metallic splotches look artistic and beautiful!! I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!! Big hugs :)

I love them both my friend and think the splatters look great, nothing wrong with them at all. Hope you're getting the lovely warm weather we've had, yesterday was gorgeous and the garden called out loud so not much crafting done here xxx
ReplyDeleteHaven't you heard, Annie, blobs are beloved, accidents are art, and ALL Tim tags are terrific!! I must say, I love how you got in touch with your pretty pastel feminine side with your really lovely creation for May!! I hope you continue to enjoy the long weekend and beautiful weather! Hugs, Darnell xxoo
ReplyDeleteWow! Das sieht toll aus. So viele verschiedene Techniken, das ist sensationell.
ReplyDeleteGenauso so, wie es ist, ist es gut, nämlich sehr gut :-)
Herzlichst Sophie
Love your Lady Rose version Anne but I'm rather fond of your original Sideshow version, blobs and all! Deb xo
ReplyDeleteLove them both but the lady rose is my favourite. The colours really stand out and the little flowers really, pop. Great work Anne xx
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful tags Anne. The slideshow one might not have been the 'look' you were going for but it works.
ReplyDeleteThe sky here looks a bit gloomy but fingers crossed it is just Mother Nature having a holiday lay-in and the sun will break through soon.
Toni xx
Both of these are brilliant! Love the colours on both and quite like the blobs! Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteBoth are really Beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteyou are so right!! test first...but as you can see i didn't test mine and am not sure why i didn't just make a second like you did!!!! love both your tags Anne
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely tags here Anne, love the colours of your Lady rose one and the pink flowers pop out against the blue/green background. The sideshow one is lovely too even with the over sized splatters! I certainly would not say it was ruined. Enjoy the sun my Friend, it is really windy and cloudy over here today and I think it is our turn to get a little of the wet stuff over the next 24 hours, time for craft I think. Mo xxx
ReplyDeleteNoooooo! Anne your sideshow tag didn't go wrong AT ALL ! I love it and think the 'blobs' really work perfectly.
ReplyDeleteI also adore your Lady Rose tag ! Gorgeous colours, perfect example of the resist technique and embellished beautifully . Another winner imho .
Have a lovely BH Monday
hugs x
Hi Anne, I like both tags and don't mind the blobs at all. The sun was trying to come out here but it's gone in again but no rain so that's good. Have a great week, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteI am loving both tags! Those blobs on the second one look like they are supposed to be there, I really don't think it went wrong in the slightest! The Lady Rose tag is stunning! Such beautiful colours and texture with fabulous embellishments. The roses are just divine! Have a lovely Bank Holiday! xxx
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning Anne and to my eyes way more beautiful than the original!! Love the addition of the spoon!
ReplyDeleteHi Anne hope you are having a wonderful Bank Holiday Monday.
ReplyDeleteCan't see anything wrong with the first tag at all in fact I bought the sideshow collection when I got Lady Rose and they have not even seen any ink yet. You have given me inspiration to get them out and use. Great colours with Lady Rose.
Warm crafty hugs from Shirl x x x

This is glorious Anne, much more vibrant than Tim's and I love the splattered version too,

Both of your tags are gorgeous but I have to say the Lady Rose is stunning! I love the colours. xx
ReplyDeleteLove both your tags - great mix of colours and if you hadn't said we'd have all assumed those blobs were intended! Elaine xx
ReplyDeleteYes, you should have said nothing and I still would have admired! Terrific tag Anne - hope your name comes up. Glorious sunshine all day here, hope you are seeing some too. Nicola x
ReplyDeleteCuriously I prefer the second tag... ;)! I love how it went "wrong"! But both are excellent!
ReplyDeletegreat make anne - you must have been so cross with those blobs - although I do rather like them! I have issues with 103 - I don't think I did 102 so can't sign up - I did 101 - but had a different email address at the time - I will try emailing Mario and see if I can sign up for 102 and 103 on my new email! Then I wonder do I really have time????? I'm really sorry anne I didn't pass your message on to Jenny today - I got to spend some time with Elizabeth Robinson but didn't really get chance to speak to Jenny. Sorry! Big hugs lovely lady! Rachel xx
ReplyDeleteWhile #1 is so bright & fun, with more beautifully feminine embellies (love those tiny roses and the wee spoon)...I'm also quite liking #2 - It looks 'grunge' just like TH does! Sometimes the metallic sprays will clog - and as you say, you get a blob instead of a spray. I think both look wonderful...but I'm glad you shared your boo-boo with us - even though I don't think it's a 'real boo-boo'. I'll have to check your TH link as I have a few minutes this afternoon. Hugs & TFS
ReplyDeletelove this tag Anne, and the stamps you used on the other tag made me smile...great minds ...i love the colours you have used too ...and yes I am all signed up and raring to go for no 3 ! xx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous version of Tim's tag Anne! I love the colours you used, so perfect for spring, alive and vibrant! The little flowers look amazing in the bright pink!! A Tim Holtz class, that seems right up your alley, you will love that for sure! sending hugs :)
ReplyDeleteHey Sugar - hope all is well with you. June is here!! I sure hope my daughter and kids can make it this month. Your tag is really neat .. you must have everything Mr. Tim makes and/or designs. He should put you on his staff! Your spraying looks really great with wonderful colors. The pink is a perfect punch!!!!
ReplyDeleteSandy xx
Oh dear - I meant to tell you that the spoon is a hit with me!
ReplyDeleteI love the wrong one! Love those blobs and usually aim for that effect (am I making messes at SPP? - oh boy!) These are both amazing and the colors are just perfect. I missed all the buzz about Creative Chemistry, that was before my blogging days. Hey, is CC3 new? I can't tell. Have you taken 101 and 102? What's your opinion? Thanks doll! Lovely work, such an inspiration for a Tuesday that feels like a Monday morning. :) Hugs, Autumn
ReplyDeleteWell I'll say that a mistake leads you down a new path that is even better than the intended. Gorgeous colors and the design is yummy! And of course I do enjoy the stitching. :) Thanks for the tip about the metallics as well. Awesome sauce and fantabulous tag! Hugz to you muffin! ~Niki
ReplyDeleteI love the bold spring colours of your feminine version, but I love the first go perhaps even more - yes, even with the metallic splatters! Fabulous takes on the May combo.
