Yikes! I nearly missed posting this one in time! I was very late making my tag this month... You can see Tim's original tag HERE. Tim used the fabulous large leaf but I wanted to do something a little different and decided to use the snowman instead, I am not sure at all about it now but here it is warts and all:
I am not going to repeat the 'how to' details here as I followed Tim's methods pretty much exactly.
I think you can see the shine of the metal foil a bit better on this picture. I used the shattered embossing folder for my background.
As always, I did a second tag for my lovely friend Ali of Ali-Craft, I mounted it on one of Ali's large grey board tags which I painted in Broken China Distress Paint.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending a card making class with my wonderful friend Jenny (Buttons) at Indigo Blu Headquarters. It was a lovely group of ladies and we had lots of fun doing lots of paint splattering and using Indigo Blu's famous Mega Flakes. Jenny is an excellent tutor, if you ever get the chance to see Jenny demo-ing or teaching, you will not be disappointed! This is my favourite of the cards we made:
I wish you could see the wonderful sheen on the Mega flakes on the tag and bauble but it is a very dull day here and I can't get a good picture.... sigh.
The countdown to Christmas begins tomorrow and I need to get some Christmas cards made, I think it is going to be clean and simple for me this year!! I bet most of you are a lot further on than me - I got Tim's new sleigh and reindeer die this week, on special offer from Country View Crafts at the moment and I cannot wait to use them.... but that will have to wait until I get some cards done.....sigh.
Thanks for looking and I hope to see you again soon. Hugs, Anne xx
Love you TT Anne. You always make such wonderful things and the colours on your tag are fantastic. Hugs Rita xxx

Anne, all I can say is: Your wart doesn't look at all like my warts do! And it doesn't look like a wart to me at all! It's lovely. What a clever thought to use the shattered folder for your snow-y inside on that pretty blue. It's very effective and I thought it was textured shiny paste until I read the post. Will have to check TH's blog to see if I can learn the how-tos, as this may be your foil. Whatever it is, very sparkling & beautiful. Loved the corrugated paper with the blues added. It's a fantastic tag, and you should be very proud of it! Lucky you at taking the Indigo Blu class. The class card is just awesome. Doubt this class will ever be available near me, but it looked like one that would be right down your alley way of talent. Glad that you had fun and got to be with a good craft buggy. TFS & Hugs.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are having fun with Jenny and it is always nice to share that time with friends. I adore your snowman tag, love the cutout with the texture in the middle, awesome!! The card you made is beautiful, those techniques make your creations stunning.
