WOYWW - Week 187 Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Woywwers and Blog Friends!

Hope you have had a good Christmas and New Year.  I missed WOYWW last week because we were preparing to go around the Country, visiting our three Children and their families.  It was fun but exhausting and we are only just back.  I have tried to keep in touch with blogland but it is difficult with family around most of the time.

If you are wondering what WOYWW is then please have a look to see what our Hostess, Julia has to say over at http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk.  It is fun, but addictive too.

My desk has not seen much action since my last post.

There are quite a few new dies and embossing folders, some more Clear Rock Candy dry glitter, a Christmas card I made using my new poinsettia embossing folders (I did a card in case I forget next Christmas that I have the folders!).  The tag in the middle is from my wonderful blog friend Chris whose work is a joy to behold.  To the right is a card and two ATCs from a blog friend, Julie, in Belgium with whom I did a swap through the Haunted House blog.  The card was done using glow in the dark card and it does look great in the dark.  Right at the front are two little notelet holders I made using my new Harlequin die, which I love and think I will get lots of use out of.

I was lucky enough to win $50 from Simon Says Stamp and I also got some vouchers for Christmas to spend in my favourite craft shops.  It is going to be difficult to choose what to buy, from my ever lengthening list of wants/needs.

If you do visit I hope you will leave me a comment, I do love to read them all and will always try to return the compliment.  Happy WOYWW to you all and wishing you all you wish for in 2013.  Hugs, Anne xx

  9. Happy New Year Anne. Yours was the first name that I saw when I blearily eyed went on WOYWW in the wee small hours before crawling back into bed.
Now I need more information on this 'glow in the dark' card! Never heard of it but then I hadn't seen the diamond die either and it looks so good. As does the beautiful card you have made to remind you about the embossing folder.
Must say your stamping gift from Chris looks rather special, lovely colours too.
Hope you have a wonderful year and thanks for the friendship through Blogland.

  20. Happy new year Anne. Congratulations on your win, have fun choosing all your new purchases. I was smiling to myself when I read about your poinsettia embossing folder. I'm glad I'm not the only one who buys stuff then forgets I have it, though it is a lovely surprise when I come across these goodies later, like finding a present to myself, lol. The tag and ATC's you received look great. I don't have the harlequin die yet, your wee notelet holders are cute!

  30. Hi Anne, lots of lovely goodies on your desk today. I'm intrigued by the 'glow in the dark' card - it sounds as though it was made especially for Halloween :) I've already spent my crafty vouchers and if you are anything like me you take a list of 'must haves' and veer away as soon as you see the 'gotta haves' :)) I did remember to get a new craft mat though - it's only taken several jaunts to the craft shop for me to remember!!! Thanks for your comment and nice to learn that we are almost of an age :) Wishing you a happy and healthy year ahead and I look forward to reading more of your posts throughout the year. Hugs, Elizabeth x #54

Hi Anne - your desk as ever looks wonderful - so full of interesting stuff - funny about our lists of needs/wants - it never gets any shorter does it - although I've found the list contents have changed quite a lot over the years!!! Glad you had a good time with your family and that you'll be back to blogland now!!! Big Hugs Rachel xx

Look at all that goodness! In my haste to de-clutter my little place I packed away all my embellishments and really miss them. I'm hoping to re-organize and make some things easier to get to.

    Happy WOYWW and Happy 2013!

    Hugs,

  47. How fun to win a $50 gift voucher from Simon Says! My wish list there keeps getting longer and longer. I like your idea of making a card with the dies you have so you won't forget you have them. That is some smart thinking! What is with that pile of skulls in the back there, that looks kind of fun.

She has managed to surface in the last few days.

  63. I'm back!!!! Yep the E is back to front but have a look also at the background - the Tim Holtz stamp is " The Impossible is often the untried" I stamped it on the back of the glass - making it back to front on the front. I have been doing some experimenting with stamping on each side of cheap glass frames and it is really interesting the looks you can achieve.
Thank you for your lovely comments they have bouyed my spirits - a million little things are all sapping my joie de vivre!
