WOYWW - Week 184

Hello WOYWWers and Fellow Bloggers

Julia will be pleased with me because I am keeping short and sweet!  Julia is our wonderful hostess at What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday and if you want to join in then pop over and let Julia tell you how to do it.

I have not done any crafting for the last two days because I have been busy wrapping all the Christmas presents - how did I come to buy so much?  This is a very small selection which I am packing up into various bags and boxes........

Have also tried my hand at knitting some fingerless mits, with one of the dozens of unused balls of yarn/wool that I have.  Not sure I like this design but it took me ages so I am going to knit a mate for it.

I got happy mail this last week too, which cheered me up no end -  from some wonderful WOYWWers, Eels, Sandee and also May, thank you ladies for your brilliant cards/tags, I will photograph them and put them on my blog soon.

Hope you are getting on well with your Christmas preparations, we always put our tree up late so that is next on the list as well as doing Tim's tags for December.  I have an appointment this morning but I will try to visit as many of you as possible.  Happy WOYWW,  Hugs, Anne x

  12. Happy WOYWW. Gorgeous wrapping. We put our tree up late too. In our family it was always put up on Xmas Eve, and I like to make the actual day feel more special, rather than get bored of the decorations by then. I expect I will get it all sorted on Saturday 22nd this year. Ali x #20

  27. I think your fingerless glove is perfect! It's nice to find projects that use up the bits of yarn. No waste!

I haven't been crafting much at all the last couple of weeks. Just been knitting on my baby blanket in the evenings. Really need to make some Christmas cards..... before I run out of time.

    Happy WOYWW

  29. Anne those are beautifully wrapped gifts, try as I might I can't make out which one has my name on, lol!! Love the little mitt, you'll have to persevere, what use is one! It's like having just one sock! I was thinking of fingerless mitts as my hands get cold at work (I'm close to a window), but I type a lot so need the fingers to be available.

  33. Your wrapping is as awesome as your crafting, Annie! And kudos for the cool job knitting! I didn't play at WOYWW today 'cause I'm so far behind and then what did I do? I stepped in to help with an emergency at the office. Where, or where did I put that "NO" button?!! Ah well, it will all be okay, somehow! Love ya, Darnell

  35. A change of pace is good for us all Anne. There has been no Christmas decorating here yet but Sunday just might be the day - I am going to use the KISS principal I think as Super Star and I are both a bit flat - intensly worried about our son right now so some of it feels superfluous.
    Love your mittens!
    Hugs to you
