Hello WOYWWers and Fellow Bloggers
Julia will be pleased with me because I am keeping short and sweet! Julia is our wonderful hostess at What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday and if you want to join in then pop over and let Julia tell you how to do it.
I have not done any crafting for the last two days because I have been busy wrapping all the Christmas presents - how did I come to buy so much? This is a very small selection which I am packing up into various bags and boxes........
Have also tried my hand at knitting some fingerless mits, with one of the dozens of unused balls of yarn/wool that I have. Not sure I like this design but it took me ages so I am going to knit a mate for it.
I got happy mail this last week too, which cheered me up no end - from some wonderful WOYWWers, Eels, Sandee and also May, thank you ladies for your brilliant cards/tags, I will photograph them and put them on my blog soon.
Hope you are getting on well with your Christmas preparations, we always put our tree up late so that is next on the list as well as doing Tim's tags for December. I have an appointment this morning but I will try to visit as many of you as possible. Happy WOYWW, Hugs, Anne x

Happy WOYWW. Gorgeous wrapping. We put our tree up late too. In our family it was always put up on Xmas Eve, and I like to make the actual day feel more special, rather than get bored of the decorations by then. I expect I will get it all sorted on Saturday 22nd this year. Ali x #20
ReplyDeleteHaven't started wrapping yet and the tree is still in the loft but I'm well on the way to finishing my cards. At this rate I will be organised on Christmas Eve .

Lovely looking pressies there - so pretty. Our tree has to be up for my Birthday so it's all done - about the only thing that is so far, after my mishap with my Christmas cards! Happy WOYWW! Karen 66 x
ReplyDeleteSo impressed with your wrapping. Only half of mine have been delivered yet, but it'll happen. That glove is great - these are SO trendy right now and I am sure the recipient will be thrilled. Hugs, Jenny #70

ReplyDeleteI haven't even started wrapping yet! I must get to it soon. I love that mitten. The sleeve on it is nice and long. Great way to use up the leftover yarn. Happy WOYWW! Tammy #80

ReplyDeleteI was late getting my Christmas decorations up to, but everything was just so complicated this year, lol But they are done, and now I need to catch up on TH tag and a few challenges, whew...busy, busy, busy! Loved the one glove..you could always pretend to be Michael Jackson ;) lol waving the #92 from the hills of North Carolina :)
ReplyDeleteYour fingerless mitt is great!!! I can't knit unless it is on a loom so I am impressed!
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday,
Nadia (WOYWW #58)
Most impressed you have started your wrapping up, I haven't even got all my presents! The mit looks brilliant, very useful they are too. You have been busy Anne, well done! xx
ReplyDeleteI think your fingerless glove is perfect! It's nice to find projects that use up the bits of yarn. No waste!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been crafting much at all the last couple of weeks. Just been knitting on my baby blanket in the evenings. Really need to make some Christmas cards..... before I run out of time.
Happy WOYWW

Yep, wrapping presents is on my list today too! Happy WOYWW!~ Sue Kment
ReplyDeleteAnne those are beautifully wrapped gifts, try as I might I can't make out which one has my name on, lol!! Love the little mitt, you'll have to persevere, what use is one! It's like having just one sock! I was thinking of fingerless mitts as my hands get cold at work (I'm close to a window), but I type a lot so need the fingers to be available.

ReplyDeleteYour wrapping is as awesome as your crafting, Annie! And kudos for the cool job knitting! I didn't play at WOYWW today 'cause I'm so far behind and then what did I do? I stepped in to help with an emergency at the office. Where, or where did I put that "NO" button?!! Ah well, it will all be okay, somehow! Love ya, Darnell

I Love it!! So glad Mr Postie delivered mine to you!! Have a Wonderful Christmas Anne... Hugs May x x x
ReplyDeleteA change of pace is good for us all Anne. There has been no Christmas decorating here yet but Sunday just might be the day - I am going to use the KISS principal I think as Super Star and I are both a bit flat - intensly worried about our son right now so some of it feels superfluous.
ReplyDeleteLove your mittens!
Hugs to you
Julie
Oh your parcels look lovely with all there bows on.. I so leave wrapping to the last minute but this year I have managed to put a few wrapped under the tree already.. They are not as lovely wrapped as your ones though.. hmm might tie some ribbon on some and tizzy them up a bit yet..

A beautiful array of gifts Anne, you are so much more organised than me :D! Love your fingerless mit, actually I like the rustic look of the design and it's a great way to use up the spare yarn.
