Hello Fellow Woywwers,
Wednesday does seem to be coming around awfully quickly at the moment! Another chance to go around the world and have a snoop at other people's workspaces......... If you would like to know more or become involved then visit our lovely Hostess Julia at http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk for all the details.
I have had quite a busy week in my craft room, making things for various challenges but yesterday I started on my Christmas cards!!
Here's my workspace:
I made the three cards with that Stampendous stamp in the background. I saw it on a TV craft show and thought nothing of it but then a blog friend, the amazing Kath Stewart, a fellow WOYWWer, used the stamp to make some cards and I thought they were beautiful, but I felt that I had enough Christmas stamps. In my local craft shop they had one of these stamps left and the address on the post card is British Columbia, Canada - so I just had to have it! I have really enjoyed using it even though I don't usually do vintage looking cards. There is a close up of one of the cards below.
I also used my two latest crazes - Stampendous Fran-tage and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Abominable Snowman colour - it gives a really gentle sparkle and I love it! Next week I am cracking out my Tim Holtz Christmas Blueprint stamps, that I won. I have dabbled already and they are fabulous to use.
If you do visit I hope you will leave me a message, I love to read them and I will always do my best to return the compliment. Thanks for looking and have a happy WOYWW, Crafty hugs, Anne x
I don't usually do vintage Christmas cards either, but I do love the look of them, and your card is beautiful! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

This Christmas bug is catching! Love how you've used this stamp. Must admit it is a wishlist item, even more so now I've seen your cards. Beautiful every one. Hugs, Buttons #57
ReplyDeleteThose are lovely cards, Anne. I have actually done most of my Christmas cards already, although the huge rise in the cost of postage means I shall be sending far less this year, but now need to get down to some Christmas presents. I have ideas but nothing even started yet. Thank you for your visit this morning, and the Splodge mat is really brilliant. Have a good week. xx Maggie #36
ReplyDeleteIt's me again - and TV is on order for Strictly. Great minds think alike.

Love it Anne! We made a box using this stamp at a retailer workshop day I went to a couple of weeks ago, like you we used lots of frantage!! Very snowy (and blizzards for those who used a little too much powder and obliterated the house!!) Off now to find that mist...with a name like that, I NEED to have it!! Trish xxx#3
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards and the frantage is another new item I will have to check out. I can't believe I might also have to try another g/mist.

Oh my gosh! You just reminded me that I have the mini blueprint stamps by Tim Holtz. I will totally have to dig them out of wherever I hid them. That's a gorgeous Christmas stamp. I'm with you, I tell myself that I don't need more Christmas stamps, or Halloween ones either. Except for the company I see I have been doing pretty good with that.
ReplyDeleteHi Anne, love those stamps and the cards you've made. I've been resisting the Frantage goodies, thinking I could make something similar up myself, but I may have to treat myself after seeing your card. I think you will like the technique I've been trying. I've completed a card with the one on my desk today and finished another in quite different colours ... I'll post them later for folks to see. Hope you have a good week and happy WOYWW. Elizabeth x #49
