Hello Lovely Followers and Bloggers
It is that time again when we share our desks with the world at large, courtesy of the lovely Julia over at
http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk. If you want to know more or join in then hop over there for info.
I am doing a happy dance this week, well maybe not the dance bit, but the happy bit - yes!
I got four lovely parcels in the post which you can see here:
From left to right - a set of stamps that look like real rain drops - I kid you not, they look real, purchased from a lady in Canada called Ryn Tanaka. Above those is a card from my wonderful WOYWW blog friend Sandee in the USA. Sandee very kindly did me some die cuts of sea horses that I liked in her album and enclosed them in this beautiful card. Next is my brand spanking new Scotch Tape Glider which I received from another wonderful WOYWW friend Lynn, of the Doodly birds, how kind is that, I have wanted one of these for eons, well a while anyway.
On the right is my new DVD by the uber talented Trish Latimer, yet another wonderful WOYWWer. I was not lucky enough to win one but I bought this and it is amazing. I have learned such a lot about painting on canvas and other lovely things. My first effort is in the foreground and a close up is below. I am so pleased that Trish has equipped me in a very short space of time with the tools to paint very easily onto a blank canvas.
I have yet to decide how to finish it off. Trish likes to use standing people but I don't have any of those yet, I might have a look at Stampotique........ Right in the middle is just me playing with my latest stamps.
All this and I had my 100th follower, mentioned in my last post, who was Jo of Jozart, another lovely WOYWWer! Your gift is on it's way to you Jo and thanks again.
That's it from me, hope you enjoyed your visit and if you did please leave me a comment and I will always do my best to return the compliment. Crafty hugs, Anne xx
What a lovely stash on that desk! Congratulations again on your 100 well deserved followers Anne. What about adding some butterflies to your canvas? I know that, like me, you love them! Thank rain drop stamp looks wonderful xx

ReplyDeleteWell done Anne on the 100 followers, that happened recently for me too. It makes you feel really part of one big happy crafty family. I love it. All with a common cause, to get inky and messy. Your canvas is awesome! really great, I wonder what you'll put in the middle, although it is gorgeous how it is. The postie must have been laden down with all those goodies. Michelle x
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. I have been wondering whether to get that paint DVD or not and it sounds like I ought to, to get over my paint phobia (buy it but don't use it much!) And the scotch tape runner, I have been pondering one of those aswell.

wooooooooooooooooo!!! GREAT job with the canvas Anne...loving it even though its 'naked' !!! Forget about standing figures, if you have to think about buying some then you're clearly not as obsessed with them as me! What about flowers or butterflies as someone else has said? Dragonflies would look awesome...... xxxxxxx Trish #90
ReplyDeleteOh Anne

Hi Annie!
ReplyDeleteYou know I'm late getting around to visit any WOYWW friends this week, due to having too much fun offsite! I have to say you've done a great canvas, and you are one lucky and one very-blessed-with-friends-lady! And rightly so, you deserve every bit of it!
Hugs, Darnell
We all love you Anne! Some pretty nifty stuff on your desk!!
ReplyDeleteJudy #40
Oooh, wonderful Happy Mail!! Love that raindrops stamp, it certainly does look real! And I saw the tag you made with one of the seahorses and it is fab! The ATG gun is a great gift, I use mine constantly and can't imagine not having it now! And finally, it looks as though you are putting the dvd to good use as your canvas is fabulous! I look forward to seeing how you finish it off, although I think you could just leave it as is!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me earlier!
xoxo Karen
Anne, what gorgeous goodies you've received. I'm so glad your water droplets stamp has arrived safely from Ryn. Awesome, isn't it. I can't believe how realistic the droplets are. If you put a tiny dab with a white marker on the little circle on the droplet opposite its shadow, the effect is enhanced even more!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comments on my blog. It's sad to see Dad looking so frail in a hospital bed, connected to a drip, but I know he's in the right place and hopefully he'll be well enough to come home soon. My hubby is visiting again this afternoon, and also popping in to check that Mum's OK at home on her own. I'm having a restful day at home, and trying to catch up with my huge backlog of gorgeous comments on my blog from everyone - I feel really lifted up by all of your love, concern and prayers!
My downsizing is going well - I think I shall soon reduce the 2 units down to 1!! And yes, the stuff's still on the landing! We were hoping to get most of it to the fete tomorrow but if the weather carries on like this, the whole thing may be off. It's a real pain, this awful weather.
Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi #35
