WOYWW - Week 162

Hello Fellow WOYWWers

It does not seem like a whole week has passed since we were last here, making the most of our Julia's group of Woywwers from around the world.  If you want to see what Julia and the rest of us get up to then please have a look at Julia's blog for an explanation (http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk/).

I have had a very busy crafty week, I won the Penny Black challenge last Saturday for which I am absolutely delighted!!  I made a creation from a block of wood and another creation for Sunday Stampers, (both of which I posted on my blog), a cameo necklace and I have made a start on my Tim Tag for July.  I don't have a blowy thing so I had to resort to the old huffing and puffing, not happy with the result so I may have to break the habit of a lifetime and resort to visiting a Macdonalds to get a couple of straws which may or may not help.  So my desk is littered with stamps and inks to finish off the tag, which will have a London/Olympics theme as, regretably,  I do not have a Statue of Liberty stamp.  Here is my desk:

I made some new purchases this week, the alcohol inks required for Tim's Tag, some Wendy Vecchi Blossom Bucket glasses, some silver Frantage, a couple of paint dabbers and some lace on a lovely spool.

Keeping it short, so as not to upset our hostess Julia.  I am looking forward to having a good look around this week and visiting as many of you as possible.  Happy WOYWW,  Crafty hugs, Anne xx

  1. Another busy person (everyone seems to be multi-tasking this week), I'm out of breath just reading about it. Haven't got any of the Frantage stuff, do I 'need' it?

  12. Thanks for your kind comment, love your desk too. Re huffing, I have resorted to using a tin of compressed air, works really well and one is not puffed out. Francesca #94

  19. Congratulations, winning with your beautiful piece, Anne. I'm not a bit surprised, it's stunning. Your desk this week looks fascinating, and I'm sure your patriotic British tag will be every bit as good as the American ones!

Thanks for your lovely comment - I was hoping to be #1 but you can't have everything! I'm loving my Perfect Pearls and had great fun making up the palette. Next job, make one for my alcohol inks. I'm so glad you like the picture you bought from me. I'm hoping for great things from Shoshi's Blog Shop, once it gets going!

    Happy WOYWW,

  20. You so made me laugh Ann, talking about your ‘blowy’ thing. I’ve no idea what you’re talking about. Obviously I’m not making the tags, so I’m going to have to visit Timmy in order to solve the mystery, Lol
I’m sure that your tag is going to look perfect with an Olympics theme.

Thanks for stopping by this week.

    Happy Crafting!

  30. Congratulations on your win!! Awesome work in progress too! The unlit match on my desk I can tell you about. I use them to apply glue to stuff so when I'm done with it, I just toss it instead of using a brush or something and having to clean it!! I love altering the match boxes, and at least I use the matches too!!
    Happy WOYWW!!

  34. Your tag is looking great. The red and blue is so vibrant! Congrats on winning the Penny Black challenge. I do so love her stuff. I find the challenges hard though.... hard on my wallet as someone always uses something I MUST have right now. Surely, you can find another straw source than Mickey D's?!?!?!!!

  35. I haven't seen Tim's tag this month, but I think you did a much better job with your British inspired one than Tim's statue of liberty. After all, he needs to take other nations into consideration. I fear it's all about the sales, that's why I never buy his stuff. OK, I realize that was probably inappropriate, especially since you just bought a bunch of stuff. I know how addicting new products can get. I did it for an entire nearly a month one year and now I have more stuff than I will ever use in my lifetime.

But this is about the desk, and I was delighted to read you had won the Penny Black challenge. BTW, I have about a thousand straws if you need one or two (grin). Happy WOYWW from # 1.

I've done all the fairy jobs that needed doing around the estate, so I can sit back and go snooping! Thanks for coming by to visit me earlier!

  41. Congratulations on your win Anne,
I have to say I'd have thought of a drinks bar for a few straws before Macdonald's but each to their own ~ hic!
You've been very creative and I can't imagine what I'd do with a block of wood...or maybe I can but let's not go there eh?
Have a great time with WOYWW ~ must dash I'm visiting...diddledee diddledee ;D

  42. First, I want to hug you for leaving such nice comments for me, you're a real sweetheart!! I love how you TH tag turned out and yes, it is nice that we share the same patriotic colors! I had to huff and puff my way through the tag too, but I think your fireworks turned out better than mine! Sorry I am so late in visiting, but my friend's visit kept me occupied! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

  46. You might be better off with a can of compressed air from the computer shop Anne, save a trip to the hideous Golden Arches and save you huffing and puffing too! Well done on the wins, it's lovely to get some new goodies from a win. Sounds like you've been very busy, enjoy your weekend.
