WOYWW

I am usually a tidy (?) crafter but I went to bed last night and left this mess behind - can't believe it.  I was so engrossed using my new Tim Holtz distress markers that I was still at it at 11 pm last night!  I am also obsessed with this new honeycomb paper and have been using it to make dressmaker dummies (which Tim did in one of his recent videos) - they look amazing but will be difficult to post, due to their size I think.

I am going to tidy my desk now........

  1. The honeycomb paper sounds very textural and yummy. I would love to see how your dressmaker dummies tun out.

  3. That passes as tidy in my house! Tim Holtz has a lot to answer for though - many hours seem to slip away when he is around.

    1. Hi Ann, Tim Holtz's markers are better than any others I have used (Promarkers/Flexmarkers/Copic etc), the colours match the Distress ink pads exactly and so can be quite strong but they are easily 'let' down if you use the new picket fence white marker to dilute them although the colours always remain true. I did the bear entirely in the markers. Hope that makes sense.

  13. When you use the honeycombe paper can you not just stick half of it on and then add a paper clip or something similar for the recipient to pull it across and hold it down? Just a thought.
    Lucky you having those pens.

  17. I've heard a lot about this honeycomb paper. I've seen a heart done up in it. I can't imagine a dressmaker's dummy done that way, but wow, that would be cool. There are a lot of card designs out there these days that must cost so much to post in special boxes. I like to send mail so I try to avoid the bulky stuff!

  20. Thanks for stopping by my place and commenting, so I could come by and see you. I will follow you. Welcome to blogland! I've only been on a few months myself and always get excited to gain a follower. I am very interested to keep tabs on how well you continue to like the Tim Holtz markers. (I didn't know about them.) I have not succumbed to the Copic Markers madness, but do love TH Distress Inks, so these markers might be put on my wish list. Have a great crafty week!

  33. Your space really is not tht messy. I got 2 sets of the new markers and have not had time to take them out of the boxes yet. Honeycomb paper, interesting. I would love to see how it looks and works. #36

  34. Just stick one side of the honeycomb and leave it flat to post. Put some double-sided tape on the other side and an instruction on how to open out to the recipient.
